Who Is This Card Suited For
The American Express Blue Cash Everyday credit card is great for someone looking for a no-fee cashback card on their daily grocery and transportation expenses. The returns offered on this card are good, but if you are spending more than $250 a month on groceries it would be more beneficial for you to consider the American Express Blue Preferred card with its higher reward structure.
It is important to note that AMEX Blue Cash Everyday card offers their higher rewards for select supermarkets and gas stations (full list located here). What is excluded from the 3% cashback segment are wholesale clubs such as Sam’s Club, superstores like Target and Walmart, specialty food stores. Also, gas stations at warehouse clubs, superstores and supermarkets do not qualify for 2% cashback. Only traditional stand-alone gas stations qualify.
